READ AROUND KOSCIUSKO COUNTY

WHAT IS IT: In coordination with Read Across America happening yearly in March, we provide books to every 2nd grade elementary school in Kosciusko County, and every 2nd grade student gets read to AT THE SAME TIME by a community volunteer. We work in partnership with the Superintendents, School Principals, Librarians, and 2nd grade students. HISTORY: Read AROUND Kosciusko County is a program provided to the community for over 20 years through the Kosciusko County Community Foundation KEYS program (Kosciusko Endowment Youth Services). In 2024, after discussions about whether KEYS would continue the program, Operation Read stepped in to say we would LOVE to take over the program! We are very thankful KEYS managed the program for so many years and are ecstatic that they handed the reins over to us! We will not let them down! WHAT IS NEW: We have re-branded the program from Read Across Kosciusko County to Read AROUND Kosciusko County and created a trademarked logo.
